Research:

First, a classic research was conducted, providing an overview about the topic sleep. The resulting keywords were classified and then used for a more thorough research into the subject. Only then, the explanatory texts were created.

Narration

The access to the application is linear, the users getting to know how people happen to fall asleep. However, eventually they are gliding into the slightly unreal world of dreams. From this point, the observers are invited to explore different topics.

Design

Ideally, sleep is a constant in our lives that we should not be afraid of. We associate sleep with the warmth of our bed and the colours of the night. Therefore it was important to create a visually pleasant atmosphere without sharp edges. After first sketches an illustration style was developed.

Exkurs Colour

Different colour schemes were tried in order to find the best possible variation for the application.

Learnings

In this project I did not only learn many different facts about sleep, but also discovered my passion for flat design, colours and compositions. Further Flat Design projects followed.
